The Journey:
"The path of the just is as the shining light that shineth more and more unto the perfect day" (Proverbs 4:18 ).
The moment that each of us received Jesus as our Saviour, we stepped onto the narrow path of life. It's a delightful path with many joys and blessings. There are also many valleys, dangers, and obstacles along the path as well. But never mind, Jesus Himself is our guide, and in His Presence is fullness of joy. At times it may seem our path is growing darker as we face the unknown or even dark trials, but the path we are following is not one of external circumstances-that path is planned by God, and he wants us to trust Him for it. What we are really pursuing is drawing nearer to Christ. That is the path we are on. This is the path that leads straight into the heart of God, and since He is light, our path is indeed as the shining light that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
The Journal:
This path is a lifelong spiritual journey. Stepping in the Light is designed to be a type of journal of this journey. In this journal you will find the accounts of fellow travelers who desire to follow their Saviour wherever He may lead. This journal records some of the truths they have found and the ways God has worked in their hearts, along with some extra hints and ideas for your trip.
The Joy:
It is not only important to hear truth; it is important to obey truth. As we respond to the truths God teaches us, we increase our joy and walk in closer fellowship with Him.
